Help with my Diet...

I need to get my diet down path, I work out often, take creatine and whey protein. However, in all the time of working out, my diet has never become set. I want to get a diet going and ready to be launched...

OK, so I am 19 years old, male, 6'1, 185lbs, Train often. As soon as I get my diet down I am going on 5 day/week schedule again. I am also planning on doing some MMA training soon. I want muscle mass, but not fat, I have some fat on my body (unknown %, but ill classify myself as thick) and would like to replace it as much as possible.

Any suggestions....

not sure how thick you can be at 6'1 185lbs. by thick you mean a little chubby correct?

your 185lbs so you want to eat about 275g of protein a day (1.5x bodyweight) you want to do this over about 6-8 meals so roughly every meal should consist of 40g of protein. go to fitday.com and plug in your foods that you eat. you prob wanna go with a 40%protein/40%carbs/20%fat


make sure your eating good carbs (oats, brown rice, baked potato, yams)

try and eat green veggies with most of your meals

drink at least 1 gallon of water a day

eat every 2-3 hours

there are some very good diets here on the board ....look around you'll find some

JPT - Thanks for the info, im probally going to start fitday soon, i started a while back, but got in 1 bannana, and kinda forgot about it lol. Thanks for the help.

BTW: By think, I meant just alittle chub...
