Ok, so I need your help... here are some foods that I consider "healthy" I eat them regularly and know that soe may not be the best but they are pretty good compared to others, please let me know your opinion:

* Texturized soy (the one that looks like ground beef), I eat it with herbs, tomato and corn or pretty much as meat in patties, etc
* Brown rice, self explanatory :p
* Oatmeal, cooked with water, I eat it plain, with fruit or seldomly with fruit preserve (knots berry farm strawberry preserve for example(sugar free))
* Fish: usually eaten with herbs and brocolli or mini potato
*Fruit, mostly watermelon, cantaloupe, banana, apple or berries (wild berries)
*Yogurt (yoplait light/fat free splenda ones)
*Tuna salad, corn, tuna (water not oil type) lettuce and sometimes fat/cholesterol free mayo
*Soup, ususally lentils, potato, carrots and small pork pieces/cubes
* Corn flakes (literally corn flakes, no sugar, no nothing) or multigrain cereal (sesame, corn flakes, oatmeal, bran and rice) with milk

Thoughts....?

Hi nan~
from looking at what you eat, I can tell you that plain nonfat yogurt or fage is much better than the ones with splenda already in them. You can add stevia to plain yogurt to make it take good.
Also~ if those soups are from a can...I wouldn't eat it. It's processed and full oc chemicals. You can make your own and that way you know what's in them.
Corn flakes are also a processed food with little nutritional value.
Stick with your oatmeal or try steel cut oats.
If it's made in a plant or comes in a box...don't eat it!!
If it comes from a plant...eat it :)

Also, read this on soy

*Tuna salad, corn, tuna (water not oil type) lettuce and sometimes fat/cholesterol free mayo
*Soup, ususally lentils, potato, carrots and small pork pieces/cubes (Be careful with soups. Too much sodium)
* Corn flakes (literally corn flakes, no sugar, no nothing) or multigrain cereal (sesame, corn flakes, oatmeal, bran and rice) with milk (NO cornflakes. It's all processed foods)

Again, this is only if you want to have a healthy nutrition in addition to getting a hot bod, LOL!

The lentil soup I make myself with little to no salt ^_^
I'll try to lay low on the soy, I was thinking a soy patty was better than meat/steak/chicken I eat for dinner/at night... before going to bed
Sweet potato is same thing as yam.... correct?
I'll probably switch back to the all inclusive multigrain cereal...
I'll TRY to try the plain yogurt :p

I hate you all :p!!! but thanks for the advice  haha

Forgot to mention, how do you feel about natural pop corn, no butter/salt?

I'm open to suggestions on foods/veggies/snacks I can get at supermarket, I'd love to make more elaborate healthy meals but don't have that much time yet am willing to try new things.... ^_^

Sweet potato is same thing as yam.... correct? (It's basically the same, but there's a higher carb in yams then sweet potato. I also think organic yams are the best. Much better taste)

I posted a number of vegetables and grains in the past. Before I do that again; did you see that post?
BTW, you can have a cheat meal per week and is really fine. Popcorn or whatever you like. However, try to keep your diet in check the rest of the week.

Yes I did see the post but some veggies and other in the list are not found here in Costa Rica... :(

Nan, do you have
Batata
Yuca
Llautia or Yautia
Casaba
Remolacha in Costa Rica?
If so, let me know and I'll be able to figure out how much you can have.
