Got My Fat Gripz Today!!!!!!!!!!!

I pulled 255 for 1 double overhand today with the fat gripz on. However I couldn't even get it off the floor with 275. When I tried to do a 5 rep set with 225 afterwards I couldn't even do one lol, these really tired out my grip. I'm going to do static holds with them once a week. I also did btn press for the first time and used the grips, they felt great and really put me in a good pressing position. Didn't get to take a video of pulling with them though.

i would be interested to see if they give you any additional forearm size too...

I finished up my workout today with some BB Curls and overhead ez bar extensions. Holy fucking forearm/bicep pump batman. The Fat Gripz crushed my grip and pumped me up big time. 80 pounds for 12 was my limit set and it felt way heavier than 80 pounds.

The gripz took all the stress off of my elbows during the extensions. It's clear to me that these things are for real. I'm looking forward to the massive fucking forearms I'll have after a few months of training with these.

I need a really cheap place to buy them from....I'm struggling on the dough side right now lol

doesnt that mean you spend more energy and strength on your grip, so less strength will be translated on the actual lift - i.e. you wont be able to lift as heavy??

When looking at building muscle or training under different loads, things like fat grips and different shaped bars (cambered, SS, etc...) can allow you to train hard yet under a different load. Imagine being able to get the same growth and stimulation out of a little less weight? Could be good to give your joints a break.

I know that pressing (and and all) with a thick bar is much easier on my shoulders and elbows.

Interesting proposition.

I always try to go from lifting heavy to medium weight and then back up to heavier weights...

A lot of guys will use a SS bar because it is harder. They can work just as hard but end up using less weight because it is a more difficult movement to squat/gm. Try doing all your bench for a day with a football bar/parallel grip bar. You are still going to stimulate growth and work hard but different muscles will be recruited (possibly giving some small nagging injuries 1 week of rest) and you will still grow.

Squat to a lower box, means you will work harder and use less weight at the same time.

So many ways to skin a cat, especially when your body needs just a week or two of a change/break without a change of intensity.

Good to know...I'll def. try to switch some things up....especially the lower box squats

Ok. I've been training with these for a month now. I'm only using them for standing presses and BB curls. My upperbody has grown quite a bit and my grip strength is getting ridiculous.

I hit weighted pull ups for 3 sets of 8 with 25 pounds today and i could have literally hung from the bar forever. This was the first time in a looooong time doing any weighted pull ups. They felt great. For the first time my back strength is the limiting factor with these.

My standing presses are improving every session. The fat grip makes this movement feel so natural. Absolutely zero shoulder or elbow discomfort.

I do not think I will ever train without these again. Very wise investment :D
