Got My Fat Gripz Today!!!!!!!!!!!

I talked to my friend who's an anatmy major and he said these grips have no effect on your training and it makes no sense that a wider grip would help protect your joints

Hmmm. I suggest you try them. If anything try some curls with a towel wrapped around the bar. If your forearms don't swell up something is wrong with you lol

My arms have grown quite a bit, but I've also put close to 20 pounds on since getting back into the gym. Muscle memory is great, but the added grip strength I'm attributing to the gripz. Even with the standing presses my forearms/bis catch a pump.

I've only gotten a chance to use them on btn presses every week, cause I haven't done curls in a long time lol! They are great for the presses they really feel good. Regardless of what your anatomy friend said alc how does it not make sense that if you grip a wider bar your grip strength will get better????

Have you considered that all this added strength and weight is because you'r back in the gym and everything including diet is in check.

Maybe the fat grips have nothing to do with it?

Ok. I've been training with these for a month now. I'm only using them for standing presses and BB curls. My upperbody has grown quite a bit and my grip strength is getting ridiculous.

I hit weighted pull ups for 3 sets of 8 with 25 pounds today and i could have literally hung from the bar forever. This was the first time in a looooong time doing any weighted pull ups. They felt great. For the first time my back strength is the limiting factor with these.

My standing presses are improving every session. The fat grip makes this movement feel so natural. Absolutely zero shoulder or elbow discomfort.

I do not think I will ever train without these again. Very wise investment :D

any increase in forearm size?

Oh sure bro. The added weight gain has definitely attributed to added strength and vice versa. My deads have gone from 315x5 to 455x5 in six weeks lol. Drug free btw :) This kind of strength gain makes you big and strong all over.

From the vascularity and the growth of my forearms I do feel the fat gripz are adding to the equation. This added strength I feel is from a combination of all the rowing and DLing I've been doing in addition to using the fat gripz. It would be foolish for me to say it's only from the gripz.

You can ask any strength athlete their thoughts on fat bar training and they will tell you the same as me. It is an added stimulus that will increase grip and upperbody strength and size.

You can believe who/what you want :D

If you look back at his post most of it is about grip strength and forearm size, and there is one part about how on ohp it helps put you into a more natural position which makes total sense.
