The length of time ALA is active in the bloodstream is around
15 minutes, then it degrades quickly.
Take the ALA roughly 15min(Like Huck said) before a
mostly Protein+carb meal). You can take it DURING
a meal if the carb intake is low enough and fat is
moderate.
This is important regarding OX.
Protein is the key macronutrient to MAXIMIZE
gains.
And when I mean protein, I mean A HELL OF A LOT.
5000Kcal/day?
Shoot for 500g protein(40% Kcals).
I'd also opt for 30%fat(good ones) and 30% carbs.
I'm a firm believer that the higher the fat intake the better
the final results. Keeping carbs in check is KEY for
minimal fat gain.
The ALA will even allow you to lose a bit of fat if you keep
carbs in check.
Your call though.
40g Creatine? Hmmm.....you might get indigestion, but
that is highly individualized. if you don't get
it, then by all means continue.
