Going out to sprint in a few minutes, quick question ...

Should I? I did legs yesterday, consisting of speed squats, ham curls, and calf raises.

I think I've read sprints are good active recovery. I just want to confirm this before I go out.

my routine calls for DE to fall 48 hours after normal leg work out. To me DE and sprinting is the same workout. So Id do sprints, then speed work, in that order, in the same day or workout.

as long as you don't go flat out, 75% or less is good, they call this Tempo :)

but if it's the first time you've sprinted in a while, then it won't be active reocvery :D

I did box squats and speed deads on Monday and played indoor soccer on Tuesday with a light upper-body workout in between. You'll be right :D

See how it feels. My only concern about sprints or any high impact activity soon after training legs is that the muscles around the knee may be weakened and therefore not offer the support that they usually would which could lead to injury.

Again, so how it feels…
