I'm training for ranger school. I'm on a heavy exercise regiment right now and i'm lost at the approach i should take for dieting. I'm doing ranger prep pt with my unit in the morning and than cross fit in the evening, with rucking and running as icing on the cake.
I've been told by the oic that i need to gain 10-15 lbs in 13 weeks. I will lose 20-30 lbs while in school, so it will be melted off my body.....Any foods you guys think i should stay away from? and focus on besides protein, protein, protein. i have no clue how many calories i'm boring, which makes it hard.
I'm eating anything and everything right now, to include crap such as burgers and pizza.

How is the pizza/burgers/etc affecting your energy/cardio? Also, what are your stats now? Regarding your crossfit training, are you doing a WOD or something up with your own metcon type workout?

With what you are about to endure, I wouldnt load up on junk. Stick with wheat pasta, brown rice, etc with your lean proteins. You dont want extra fat and sodium weighing you down.

If you couldnt tell by my username, Ive been through it before. Youll have fun provided you dont go crazy due to sleep deprivation combined with starvation. ;)

today at pt I pushed a 2 ton car with a buddy up hill for 100m 10 times. and now i'm suppose to do 3x5 front squats, and i can barely walk up stairs.......what to do what to do.

You're overtraining IMO. Doing a WOD + an additional workout is too much.

What's worked well for me is combining one foundation exercise (bench, dead, squat) per day and doing 5X5 of that followed by a metcon.

If your constantly active then just eat man and don't worry about what your eating or how many calories. Just eat, eat, and eat. Most of us hit the gym 3-4 days a week but then the rest of the week sit in office jobs or write on internet forums. If I was active all day then I would eat anything I could get my hands on.
