YES! After about 2 months off of deadlifting (a la lower back injury), I finally gave heavy deads a try again. And who would have thought, I set a new PR too!!
I started out with a slow 5 reps with 135, sumo style, then singles from there.
225, sumo
275, conventional.
315, conventional.
335!! I know this isn't very impressive, compared to many of you here at Elite. But I've been working hard to heal this godawful injury, and I'm proud of myself.
I started playin with the different stances too, as I said above. Sumo was kinda cool, but I think I need to work on it. I felt my knee pop on my 225, I think. Oh well.
