Egg shake,

have you considered replacing some of the yokes with another fat source like flax seed oil? 12 yokes multiple times a week will blow your cholesterol through the roof bro

Based on a 2000 calorie diet, your drink is 8x the recommended daily intake level of 300 mg of cholesterol. The fat content of one drink meets your total daily requirements as does the saturated fat content. It is also high in sugars.

If you were to just use the egg whites, you would have a Biotin deficiency which would affect protein metabolism and the release of food energy.

The other health concerns would be from salmonella and e.coli bacteria which may be present in the raw eggs. There is also the possibility of cross-contamination as you are using a 'raw' food-product.

Dietary cholesterol will not increase your cholesterol levels. Saturated fat will. Cholesterol has to bind to saturated fat to exert its effects... otherwise, it does nothing in your body. I eat 5 whole eggs every day and my cholesterol levels are perfect.

Your body cannot digest most of the protein from raw eggs. Your shake is absolutely useless, as the bioavailability of protein in raw eggs is minimal.

I could not stop thinking about this protien drink while at the gym. On the way home I stopped by the store and bought a bag of frozen peaches. Here is my version:

6 whole eggs
2 tbls flax seed oil
3 scoops vanilla protien powder
1 small bag frozen peaches

Blends up nice and thick, good texture, and great taste. I will have to make this a once or twice a week drink.
