dimples on my ass. Argh! Help?

Okay, I have done a search on cellulite and found a few suggestiosn for getting rid of it. I've always ran a lot, but now I have begun to run in the morning before eating, which is totally new for me because I always ran for endurance rather than actual fat loss (I'm following the advice that I've found here). Also, I have begun to use flaxseed oil. I gulp down a tablespoon every morning. I lift weights about 4 days a week and I do lift heavy (for me) and go to failure. But now I am trying to get rid of my last stubborn fat stores and my body holds on to it like my life depends on it. My diet is between 1700 and 2000 calories a day. The ratios: about 30protein/50carb/20fat.

Any advice for what has worked in getting rid of cellulite? (My husband tells me it's womanly), but I would like to get rid of it, if possible. Or maybe just resign myself to being "womanly".:D

Serious suggestions appreciated and I do listen! Also, I want to stay natural. I've seen so many good ideas on the threads. Thanks for the help.

Cellulite is genetic and hormonal. You can minimize it by trying to switch your food ratios around--try more protein, less carbs. Working your legs well will build muscle, burn fat, and that'll shrink it somewhat. Some people have luck with vigorous massage (i think there's been a thread on this recently--search).
Tanning (real or fake) make it look better.
Personally, while I try my best to fight it, I don't think it's worth agonizing over.

You're right. I don't agonize, but I do like trying to improve. Usually, I'm thanking God that I'm healthy, but I also know that it's my nature to push myself and see what I can do. :)

Keiko, I will try changing my protein/carb percentage. It's definitely an effort because I naturally want to eat carbs and not so much protein.

My husband's an endurance athelete and he really shovels in the carbs. But to burn fat off, you'll need more protein and good fats--esp. the good fats. Make sure your cardio isn't at too high an intensity (WarLobo's posted an excellent thread "When 30+ 30..." which should be around here somewhere.)

Even though you've worked your lower body a lot running, weights will make a bit difference.

I'm down to that last bit of fat on the booty too...I don't like to call it anything but FAT...

Okay...that was lame...but anyway...

I've discovered deadlifting as a new booty attacker....which seems to also get my upper hams a bit too...as well as the intended target, lower back. You may be doing these already....

I've been doing squats and lunges for awhile, which have shapped my thighs well...but because my thighs are so strong, they over power my rear, so my butt is not as tight as it could be....so butt blasters and deadlifts are the answer for now.

You may want to try applying Yohimbine HCL topically...there is a great thread on this subject by macrophage.

2 cents from a soon to be non-flabby ass.

Like the others have said..the only thing you can do is train HARD, lift heavy and eat clean along with a good amount of cardio. I find that squats, lunges, and deadlifts are the best...especially squats! Also try walking on the treadmill at an incline for 60 minutes and with every step you take squeeze your ass.....its a crazy hard workout! Your diet has to be clean as well....it will take some time, but keep at it.

HAHA! F-A-T. That's great. I read Warlobo's post a while ago and I do keep that in mind. I do like my body, so I hope that I don't seem too critical about myself. I do squats every week. I often use the smith machine because I feel more comfortable. I wasn't doing deadlifts for a while because my hamstrings get so, so tight for days afterward, but now I am doing them again - and stretching a lot. And lunges too. Gosh, I sweat like a pig when I work these muscles! Well, I'm not trying to impress anyone at the gym, so I gotta do what I gotta do. I will try all of these suggestions and let you know how it works. Thanks:)

Just a little side note to make you feel better. I was watching a special on "Baywatch" on E channel. It was showing the girls between takes when the lighting was not just right and you could see they had cellulite on their bootie as well as legs(not lots but some). I know they have to work out somewhat; maybe not as much as you or I but, heck they are held up as perfect women. It was kinda comforting to me.

BTW: Higher protein diet helped me get rid of alot of it.
