277 + light and mid bands x 2 x 8 sets

Note that I used 52 pounds and the light bands more than I did last week :)

Speed Pulls
410 x 1 x 6 sets, 30 sec between sets
Set 3
Set 4
Set 6

Cheese Dimel Deads
230 x 5 x 4 sets
Set 3
Set 4

Glute Ham Raises
OLD heavy band for help x 6 x 2 sets
2nd set

Calf Raises
4 sets of body weight

Abs
2 sets of 50, pull down style with the light band. Cheese did leg raises while I did my pull downs.
2nd set...kinda funny to watch and listen to...lol

Bodyweight Squats
Cheese does these every week without the box. He goes for 100 reps. I decided to partake in them this week. We did 50 without the box and close stanced and 50 on the box...

All in all it was a pretty good day. Since my hams are on their way up and I feel pretty solid all over...my squat is feeling better. I need to start taking heavier weight on them...probably 315 plus bands from now on...we will see.

Cheese's squat needs work...lots of it. Not sure where to start...please advise!!!!

He did 8 sets of 2 with 207 and mid bands.

Added weight releasers and took the bar down to 135 plus mid bands.

Speed Pulls

Cheese dimel with 230

GHR's...these may be a big weakness of his. He has a hard time keeping his hips fwd on these...maybe an upper ham/glute weakness?? :confused:

Chese:
not arching enough, initaly on descent and especialy lockout
Grip bar harder and pulkl it toward his body
Looks like his hipos go in
 
I have the same problem with GHR (can't keep my hips forward). I attribute it to weak hips/hamstrings. Both of which I am working on.

Looks to me like he's just sitting straight down on the squats too. But by no means am I an expert.

Clint, thanks, those vids are awesome. You really ought to put together a complete video, I know I'd buy it. I have a question about the speed pulls. They look like speed deads to me, as Im used to pulls finishing with a toe raise and shrug at the top, oly style. Are these pulls a different variety, like powerlifting pulls? And, have you ever done the ooly pulls? I love those, they have replaced deads for me untill my lower back settles back down.

A pull is another word for deadlift...

I'm actually working on some ideas for a book, training manual, and a video :)

i like the idea of doing dimel deads sumo style...i never even thought about that

what are the benifits to doing bw squats in the main workout? conditioning? i do them sometimes for recovery

The Cheese Dimel's are cool...really work the hips a lot and I think that they are going to help my stones (maybe) and my squat.

Not sure why we did the BW squats. Conditioning for sure and maybe mental toughness. Cheese just has this goal to get like 100 in 3 minutes or something.
