Daily protein intake

Hi all you experts that know the ins and outs of the human body. I'm trying to calculate my daily protein requirment and I've tightened the range between 145gm to 170gm. Now I've heard that an excessive amount of protein cannot be digested and will convert into glucose for energy. This has scared me off because I'm trying to cut body fat and preserve as much lean muscle as possible.

Basically I wanna know how far over your daily proetin intake can you go before you will start to store fat from not using up the converted energy stores?

I wanna get as close to my recommended daily intake without going to far over or cutting myself short.

This will depend on many things. Judging by the fact your asking this question im assuming your natural? If so id recommend you fit 1.2-1.5 g of prorein per lbs of body weight inti you calories when in a deficit.
 
Not completely natural, I'm just trying to get a better understanding of the bodies process when not being helped lol i spend more time off then i do on though. Ok awesome, thanks for the input
 
what body fat % are you? for people with higher body fat
% id say something like 1.3-1.6 g per pound of lean body mass
 
When I cut I use .8-1 g per lb .8 if I'm doing drastic cut on lots of anabolics

But if you're cutting you shouldn't worry about it you should be in a deficit and you'll lose body fat
