Sooo. A little over a year ago I got promoted to manage this poop shit ass branch of nada with the hopes of making it somewhat profitable. Long story short, I made it work, only firing one person, people were actually happy working for my company. My key: pay them, help them, support them, let them blow off work 1 day per month, more if really needed. No requests would have to be made through HR for said blowoffs. I took a cut in my pay... kind of to make this happen. I never managed before I just did it the way I'd like to be taken care of. Numbers soared, branch profit went up, I did pretty fuggin OK.
So, there's some newb that has come in and said he can do all that I did, plus some, without giving up anything... even adding to the company's bottom line. I found out via EMAIL that this will be taking place 2/1, and I'll be relocated to a part of the company that I'm not familiar with. Kind of doesn't matter because I'm confident with my abilities. I'm just so fucking mad. I did really well last year, made my company a lot of money, turned a low producing branch into one that is in the top quarter in the region. I feel betrayed to be honest.
Oh... Some old lady backed into my car this morning and broke the headlight casing or some shit... She didn't have insurance and I told her not to worry about it. She was old, etc. $2K for that shit.
