CKD Diet

Hey everyone thanks for reading my post.

After hours of research today on the computer the CKD diet seems to be something I can accomplish. If someone could give me a sample workout that I should be on while on this diet, it would be greatly appreciated. If someone could help me create one myself it would be even more appreciated.

Right now this is my workout:

1.5 mile bike ride to gym

20mins treadmill 5.5 mph 0 incline
20mins bike
20 mins elyptical

half hour circuit training

20 mins treadmill at 3.5 incline at 5mph

1.5 mile bike ride home

Thanks again for reading my post and offering any help that you can.

Have you looked at my CKD manual? post your stats here and more of you specific goals.

23 y/o male
260 lbs
6feet tall
35% unlean..

My goals are to drop from 260 to 220. At 220 I want to be more cut up and have no more than 15% fat. If you require any other information from me please ask.

Mr. X. what CKD manual are you referring to?

Thanks a lot...

the ckd worksheet isn't helping me. It isn't specific to bmi. What percentages is the worksheet calculated to? I want to start this diet tomorrow but I am not grasping it. Mr X. can you send me the CKD manual you were referring to a while ago. That may help me understand better. Could you also look back at my goals and workout to help with adjustments?

Thanks

Bro, If you are 260 @ 35% bf it is going to be impossible for you to get to 220 @ 15%bf by simply using a cutting diet and weight loss exercise program. Those goals you have would require you to lose 60lbs of fat and gain 20lbs of muscle, that doesn't happen at the sanp of your fingers. It sounds like you're wanting a miracle diet/wo program but it's not out there. Don't fool around with anything elaborate at this point. Just cut your calories, follow a healthy "balanced" diet and an exercise program if your main goal for now is to lose weight. You didn't get where you are overnight and you cant get where you want to be overnight. Strict diet and WO and take it from there. I honestly would not suggest any kind of ketogenic diet if your not at least under 20%bf and closer to 15%bf. This is just my opinion and it's not intended as a flame I'm just trying to give you some solid advice. :coffee:

I am not looking for a miracle diet. I was considering low carb high protien before I learned of this CKD diet. When I used to be heavy into lifting the way i got into it was a 10 week crash diet. I then moderated my carbs/protien/calories closely to avoid negative weight gains. I become more motivated with good beginning progress.

Advice...

Bro, I'll be honest and say yes the ckd is an effective diet. But the other bro's are right, at your current state, i'd work on cutting down on the calories, keeping the protein high (having that post work out shake with whey protein and carbs) and perhaps doing something simpler like say cutting carbs after 3pm. CKD to do correctly takes a retarded amount of willpower, organization etc. Why not employ that diet once you hit a plateau in your current regime. It seems to me like you are on the right track with your training, lots of cardio, still lifting the weights, that is good bro. To many people who just want to loose weight stop lifting and dont realise that muscle mass is the best calorie burning furnace you can give your body. I'd even switch from the 30 min circuit training to a 4-5day split and work 1-2 muscle groups to exhaustion with HEAVY weights on that day, weights you can only muster out 6-10 reps with. You will burn more calories and tear apart the muscle fibers forcing your body to repair them stronger. Another thing is go sign up for free at www.fitday.com I just did this myself and it's a great tracking tool. Good luck and keep us posted!
