Cardio first thing in the morning when not on gear?

Is it advisable to do cardio first thing in the morning before eating anything?

Maybe if you're on gear but if you're not wouldn't this eat away hard earned muscle?
 
I did this for a long time evn before I started gear. I would wake up, have my E/C/A and then 30min later I would do 25-35min of medium pace cardio. I would have 5g's of Glutamine right after and then have my first meal 30min after I was done. I worked great for me and I lost almost no muscle

Cardio in a fasted state is a great way to lose bf. Take any of the ECA's you want, drink about 9 oz of water, and do 30-60 minutes of cardio. You will burn even more fat if you consume no carbs in your last meal of the day and eat that meal at least 3 hours before going to sleep!!
 
Best time to do it, especially if you don't eat for an hour or two aftrerwards. The reason is that if you can burn up all the glycogen in your muscle and there is no food in you to replace the used glycogen then your body will burn fat to replenish your glycogen stores.
 
yes, and in carb depleted/fasted state glycogen stores are low to begin with, and you will begin to burn fat almost immediately!

this is the best advice...

but 60 minutes always put me in a catabolic state......35 is good.

the goal is 30 in your target herat zone..........5 minutes to get there, and 30 in the zone
 
Thanks for the replies... this anwers about everything!!!!

Only thing I'm not sure about... how intense should the cardio be? Should it be performed in a slow pace or keep the hartrate very high? I mean for minimal muscle loss!!

I'm kind of a hargainer and really afraid of loosing my hard earned little bit of muscle.
