Carbs or Protein after Cardio?

Which would you reccommend after doung 30mins of Cardio after a session. I usually have a carb drink but wondered if a protein drink would be better.

My views as taking a carb drink after cardio is that your blood sugar levels are low anway so drinking carbs would not affect the work already done in burning fat and woiuld only put your blood sugar level back to normal, just my opinion.
 
You should wait at least an hour before eating or drinking anything but water becuase the fat burning continues until an hour after your cardio is done.

Yeah, depending on how high intensity your cardio workout is, 'good' carbs won't negate any of the fat-burning, since your metabolism will be jacked for a while after the cardio. But as M56M says, just wait an hour before eating anything.
 
The problem with your theory boys, is that after 45 minutes of cardio if you don't intake protein you body becomes catabolic. Basically it starts to eat away at the muscles to replace the aminos that were used during cardio. If you wait an hour yes you will burn more stored fat but you will most definitely loose some muscle. I suggest a Protein shake that contains a complete amino profile such as Bioplex’s WPI. I also pop additional BCAA post cardio and post workout. Every time you do any aerobic or anaerobic training you are speeding up you metabolism. You will continue to burn fat throughout the day, it doesn’t stop after one hour and if you eat right afterwards you won’t run the risk of loosing muscle.
