Bulking your protein shake?

hey group.

Does anyone out there do anything to their protein shakes to bulk it up?
I.E. other than just mixing the powder with milk/water (I think mixing it with water is revolting.. gad I love milk)
After my workout, I used to just mix my protein shake with milk in a glass. blah, bland!! Now I blend, wait 30 min after I down it, and eat a good meal.

1 & 1/2 scoops protein powder
1 banana
2 eggs

Someone told me that it's bad to put in raw eggs..something about getting food poison, but I've never run into this problem before. Anyone agree/disagree with that? Is there anything else I might want to toss into the mix?
 
Immediatly after training, I have 2 scoops of isolate blended with a dextrose/kool-aid drink and 2 scoops of frozen yogurt. Its OK to add some simple carbs to your postworkout shake as long as you consume it immediatly after your workout.

Thanks a lot for the info Mavy, frozen yogurt sounds good I think I'll give that a try
 
Adding eggs is fine. You have a 1 in 30,000 chance of getting an egg with salmonella. At least that is what I was told.
 
after one time being sick off of raw eggs has changed me. Ive boiled my eggs ever since; never ever ever want to go through that again. I lost 15 pounds in 4 days from heaving and dehydration....but to each his own if you like taking raw eggs. They tatse so good boiled and mixed with jalapeno peppers and black olives though...mm hmm :)

buy some raw protein powders and up the protein count, or toss a protein bar in the blender, that wouldnt hurt.
 
whey + dextrose post workout

otherwise a good bulker shake is:

1 cup skim milk= 100 cals
1 banana = 100 cals
2 tbsp ANPB= 200 cals
2 scoops whey= 240 cals
1/2 cup oatmeal= 150 cals

Thats an 800 plus calorie shake and damn good.

That really does look good. Thanks man I'm gonna try that out! Don't have skim milk, can't stand the stuff. I'll just sub with 2%
