BuffaloGal's Log

I knew you weren't being nosey Treil! I've tried to think of all kinds of questions - this is so new to me. My ex really did all the work last time. I appreciate any little advice anyone has to offer.

I've got the disclosure on the house and didn't see anything, course that doesn't mean it isn't there. I wish buying a house was easy but it'll be more trial and error for me. Feel free to ask/comment away... I'll take all the help I can get. ;)
Yeah it's all trial and error and scary when you have to do it alone! Especially trying to figure out which paycheck pays for what bills and when will they come, and about how much.... That part had me on edge for quite a few months. Plus I pay my taxes out of pocket so I was kinda wondering if I budgeted enough and everything worked out fine. It will for you too!
Does the house have any type of warranty for you? Or did you ask them to fix or replace anything? Like how old the furnace is, or water heater? Does the roof have any leaks? Any plumbing issues in the home? How are the neighbors? You could always drive by at night and see if there's partying and stuff or what have you... If noise is a problem for you.
Or ask them to paint certain rooms if they have nasty color paint on the walls, or take wall paper off if it exists, or to have the carpets professionally cleaned? Just wondering...

I'm SO feelin' this anxiety right now! ...but at the same time I'm so EXCITED to be doing it that I can't see straight!!! :crosseyed: :lmao:

It all seems so scarey looking in from the outside. Once you're in the middle of it all, it becomes more clear. Have a list of questions ready (if you have them), and ask away!

Well you'll see it's all for the good just hectic and stressful right now. Just take care of yourself and get enough R&R!

BG, I know you're probably in over your head with buying a house right now but just wanted to let you know that I miss reading your daily log. Do pop in and say hi when you can.

Thanks for checking in girls. :bigkiss:

Given all that's been going on I barely have time to dial into the internet these days. So, I'm still trying to write down my food choices/timing every day, still get to the gym a lot to lift but have been lax on the cardio, but for the most part I've lost the added willpower to really keep up with it for the time being.

I'll be back to logging once I get settled in somewhere, house or no. But that'll probably be another 6 weeks or so.

As far as the house goes, my realtor and mortgage company seem to be giving me the run around. No guidance on ANYTHING at all! Tomorrow is the last chance before I go elsewhere. I'm on a very tight timetable and my time is just about up for getting out of the hotel room. To say that I'm about ready to pull out my hair, along with a few other people's, would be putting it very, VERY mildly. :fistfullo

Now, on top of that I need to get a new car before next winter. My car just cannot handle winter weather and so this past weekend was spent car shopping. I found the one I want, it's just a matter of buying it this summer. So, with two major purchases coming up, dealing with a bunch of idiots and working non-stop at work, my diet is suffering and is just too hard to control at this point.

I'll be back in a couple of months, hopefully with a new log. And I'll check in from time to time, but it will probably be limited for awhile. On a lighter and more positive note though: the dating is great and is too good to be put into words. So, in that aspect of my life I've never been happier. And, I'm keeping my chin up because the rest will just fall into place when the time comes.

Don't stress to much over the diet and working out. Just try and get some in to help you feel better. It will work-out. I know though it's like "Gosh I don't want to deal with these people, can it just be over!"
Car shopping for me is no picnic either. I hate dealing with the sales guys!
