Greetings all! First off, I would like to say that I love this site and have been spending quite a bit of time doing research, getting the vibes from the board and so on. I decided this site could help me with training and decided to bump up to Platinum status. A little bit of background. I'll be 35 this summer, was recently married, and am a certified personal trainer. My certification is through AFAA. This cert made sense to me because I am also a group exercise teacher, mainly spinning. If you want to drop some body fat and get into cardio shape, I recommend taking a spinning class! In the early ninties I worked for Gold's Gym in San Jose Ca. It was a great working environment and I was able to meet a lot of great bodybuilding people. Unfortunatly, I had a pretty severe college football injury(head and neck) and spent quite a few years rehabbing the injury. I did have a little bit of exposure to the "steroid life" before the injury. I was going to school in Tucson, Arizona and we would run the Nogales border with Sostenan and Deca mainly. I did a couple of cycles and was pleased with the results. I was also lucky enought to be able to work with a doctor who monitored my blood and blood pressure. Fast forward to today. I'm 6' 223lbs and sitting about 18% BF, which is pretty high for me. Unfortunately I haven't been able to train the way I used to when I was younger because of a continuing back problem, once again, residual effects from football. The doctors diagnosis is facetal arthritis. Basically the point of this post is to introduce myself and hopefully get some advice about training, supplements, and dealing with injuries. One thing I wanted to bring up was I remember when I was taking deca my joints felt great. Does anyone else report this? Or do I chalk this up to the overall well-being feeling of being on a cycle? Am I foolish to even consider a cycle in hopes of helping a lower back problem? Like I said, I'm having a great time learning from the boards and I appreciate you all reading my post!
