Barbell rows and traps?

I did bentover BB rows yesterday. And my traps are sore as hell. I can feel it in my lats when i flex them. but there definetly it better shape then my lats right now. Arent bentover BB rows supposed to work your lats specifically? Should i hitting my traps like this?

Also its two days later and im about to go do ME squat day? would straight leg deadlifts be a good idea, considering my traps are still sore?

they hit yer traps also cuz when you contract yer shoulder blades, yer traps strain to hold the weight of the row.

They do hit your traps. Especially if you're going to failure, tend to loose form and straighten up at all. Or, if your angle is already steep. Going heavy on bo rows and not pulling with your traps is virtually impossible.

exactly.

It also depends on the level of your back. I've noticed, if I am more 'upright' of an angle... it hits my upper back more... if I am more bent over, it really hits my lats more.

I thought vertical pulling motions were more lat-specific when horizontal ones were more trap-specific? (in a very vague and general sense)

Hmm... could be? lol -- I just feel it in my lats when I am MORE horizontal on the bar rows and feel it more in my upper back and traps when I am more 45+ degree angle...
