Are ABS separate muscle groups or single one?

Crackerot is correct in saying that the abdominal muscle is ONE muscle.

I do not subscribe to the notion that each one muscles can only be flexed in one way and that growth and shape will be the same regardles of what exercises are used to influence that muscle. Therefore I believe JEremy21 has a point, too.

hardgainer (my two cents)

hmm...well im just saying what works for me..doing side crunches i feel it more in my oliques..leg raises, in my lower abs...i dunno...i prefer what i feel in the gym over science

LOL MrMuscle...

"Feeling" one exercise in one area more than another has nothing to do with muscle fiber stimulation. It has to do with proprioception.

now why do you have to go throwing words like that at my norwegian ass, you know i wont understand em anyway.

you do it your way..i'll do it mine..seems to be working so why stop.

Peace

Well, obliques are different.

And cack, proprioreception and different mechanical angles, i.e. varying degrees of stretch :)
