Adjustable Box...

b fold the truth

Elite Strongman
Platinum
Was looking at a guy's web site and noticed his box that he uses for box squats...pretty sweet I think...

"This heavy duty box by Sarden Strength is 18"x24" and adjust from 10" to 24" high. Great for box squats,step-ups,depth jumps, st.leg deadlifts, etc."

I would think that a decent welder could make one for about $50 tops...

definately.. alot of that stuff is over priced (reverse hyper, glute ham bench.. adjustable box) and most of it can be made cheaper by a welder. Either way, the box is pretty cool.

wood is still pretty cheap, and that's what i squat on. home depot isn't too bad on the prices. it might not be made of steel but it's damn sure strong.

Oh, I thought this thread was about something else entirely. I guess I thought I was on Elite Between the Sheets.

Now that I realize what we are talking about. I have an adjustabel box squatting box. It is 11 inches, and I can add sheets of 3/4 inch plywood to make it different heights. I made it out of leftover plywood from my power rack platform. Cost was about 5 bucks for all materials.

I would like to have the one from Sarden, but I can buy a lot of cheeseburgers for the difference in price. I would also like to have a Sarden rack and glute/ham raise, but they are insanely expensive, though extremely well built.

I had one made. Cost me about $40 in materials. Could have saved even more if I had looked through a junkyard for the diamond plate. Now I have a few.

Mine have a piece of diamond plate under the plywood, and then the top is padded.
