I think low carb diets are fine for short term quick small cuts. Especially since for the first 2 weeks you basically dump all your water weight. I dont think they are long term solutions for fat loss and overall health. I will say when I first started lifting, I was also cutting, and I used a low carb diet, I cut 20 lbs in 2 months and accually added some LBM. Then again I was skinny and my body didnt really have a choice I dont think lol.
