OK so Im out for a nice bike ride through my neighborhood. It's sundown but not yet totally dark. Im coming around a corner and Ive never been on this street before. As i come around the curve, I saw what i thought were 2 huge deer standing on this person's front lawn near the street. For a split second, i thought they were real and I got scared like WHOA. But then I immediately giggled at my paranoia because I realized they were just deer statues standing ever so still. I though hmm weird. Deer statues. And as I'm coasing by I'm looking at them. As i begin to pass in front of them, their heads fucking moved in my very direction and their beady deer eyes followed me and I go "oh shit!" real loud and i start pedaling read fast and they scurried off into a wooded area.

Fuck my heart was beating so fast and I was laughing at myself. Then I thought, do they attack people? I mean, would it be dangerous to be in their vicinity?

lol males in rut (aka really horny) may show agression to people. Rabies and Chronic Wasting Disease both cause encephalopathy that can make deer agressive too.

otherwise, no

i'll see if i can find a picture of my father on crutches and a bandaged leg. He was taking a picture of a buck and it charged him. got him in the thigh with an antler.

They aren't usually aggressive though, at ALL, but they can be.

they probably went back to their deer forums and posted a thread called "would a broad attack a deer if she had really jacked traps?"

depends what kind, the white tails up in OH are scared of mice, they'll smell human from a 1/4 mile and book for the hills

Yes-

Sometimes they can be pretty nice though-

I've gotten within 15 feet of them in MI.

Up in the NC mountains where we have all that acreage they "bed down" in a big ass group real near that little cabin my parents had built down in the meadow.

Only time I ever saw them do anything even remotely aggressive was when I was walking Penny my bassett and had gotten too near were they were settled down for the night. She started woofing at them and a few of the bucks suddenly stood up and faced us. We were like "uuuuh ok. This is us sloooooowly leaving. Sorry"

First time I ever went Elk hunting with two buddies of mine we were out around noon. LOL. We stopped and Jeremy started calling and we didn't realize it was soo close that when that fucker responded back.... I damn near shat my pants. That is the most I have ever been scared out in the wild in my life.
