Who Hits The Gym Early Am?

Liberator

New member
I dont mean 10am, I mean 6am

What do you do when you wakeup??? Do you drink a shake then go down the gym, what? I'm talking normal people here, not people on shifts.

My gym is starting to suck donkey balls during peak hours now, so I was thinking of either going very late (9pm) or very early like 6-7am.

So who here does it and how does it compare?

Do you lack energy or find its actually ok

i work out at 6am every morning. i haven't had any trouble with feeling tired. you just have to get yourself pumped up when you get in there. and make sure you warm up enough too. good luck.
:fro:

Technically isnt this the best time to train for optimum gains anyway?

You will be providing the body with the nutrients it needs throughout the day FOLLOWING the workout as opposed to eating maybe two meals then going to bed FOLLOWING the workout.

Although you could say that the latter provides for improved recovery

any comments on this

I do not eat very much at all before I lift...but I lift 1 hour after awaking. Maybe a small glass of oj and a cup of yogurt.

You will adapt to lifting in the am...it may take a couple of weeks..but you will adapt.

I could never train in the real early AM my body just wont function. I used to do it for school all the time and I was just like totally beat all day long.

:D:D

Gezz, I wouldn't be able to get up at 6:00am let alone go train. I would love to do it but I'd barf.

I'm with LIberator- after finishing up around 730am or so.. i love pounding on lotsa protein meals all day long......plus getting up early gives me more time to get in quality meals-

I love training early... kinda have an 'unspoken bond' w/ the am group...we just nod at each other & off to the rack- everyone seems more serious about their training...
as opposed to the pm 'yaksercise' pm group- even if you're not a part of it, the chatting & hangin' out is a distraction... seems to lower the intensity

I try to get up for early morning workouts, but
I'm just not a morning person.
Either that or maybe I'm lazy.:D
