i sit on a bench for behind my head in the power rack. i also dont aim for 4-6 reps either. i lighten the load and go for about 8-10. if im doing a 5x5 style workout i will generally only do them on my first 3 sets. like i mentioned alot of trainers tell ppl to never do such exercises, but i personally find these to be one of the most effective workouts for size on my shoulders. ive even had a shoulder problem and was worried bout doing them again. i started off light, worked my way up and with good proper form and steady nonjerking lifts i have had no problems or setbacks. although i do keep it a bit lighter to maintain my form and the smoothness in my reps
