that's pretty much what I've got going, and it's working quite well for me. my bis aren't much to look at cold, but when they're flexed i'm pretty pleased, plus my strength's goin up and up.
alternate hammers, alternate db curls, couple sets on the machines. I pretty much base my biceps work all around DB curls because I feel I get the most out of them(and there are tons of variations...tempo, seated/standing/incline, drop sets).

I haven't performed many drop sets, maybe I should give it a try to shock the biceps. So far my routine has been working swell but just wanted more variations to try.....kinda of gets boring with the same exercise after awhile.
Genetics. Nothing more, nothing less. No exercise will bring out the "peak" of the bicep. You just have to let them grow. You either have it, or you don't.

I had peaks before I started training. They were smaller then but peaks nonetheless.
Ay kind of curl will increase the peaks. Although my training partner does the same curls as I, he has flat biceps with no peak although they are large biceps.
Look and Arnold and Sergio. Arnold had awesome peaks. Sergio had no peaks but big biceps anyways.
