What do you think about this kind of training......from animals board...

I did that about a year ago. Andrew Dexter who is the current world record bench, deadlift and squat holder in his weight class (210lb) trained me for about 6 weeks on a program very similar to this.....he might not be the record holder aymore since the last time I checked.

You do 2 exercises for each. Worked great for me! I put 25 lbs on my bench in that six weeks. You start with higher reps at the start of the weeks with a lower number of sets (3). Then by the end of the week you are doing lower reps (5) with a higher amount of sets (5). I put on about 8 lbs in 6 weeks.

And how is that "very similar" to DC?

What your friend put you on was called "linear periodization", fyi.
 
I dunno why this was even bumped, there's an enormous sticky for the program on the training board.
