I recently doubled my vitamin c intake from 1g a day to 2gs and already i feel a difference i feel suprisingly more recovered and more energetic in the gym . I would recommend u guys out there who have a gram a day or lower to upgrade ASAP.

One of my colleagues told me to supplement with extra vitamin E as well, he says it helps the body to build new pathways (viens and stuff). Do u think i should, since u seem to know ur vitamins.
I think i saw an article like that too and I also saw articles stating the many benefits to using lots of vitamin C. I guess the reactions are mixed. I remember listing to a doctor on radio talk about how vitamin c is used to treat cancer patients in Germany so all i can say is use what works for u bro.
i like vit.C a lot. Sometimes i take 2grams of it a day. But i've been taking 1g a day b/c i've read some reports linking it to cancer, DNA damage, composition of cysts, etc etc etc. Reports showed side effects of users using more than 1g a day.
Like most things it probally has it's good and bad parts. You have to make the judgment call on what you want to do with it. But understand it is not a benign substance.
I take 1g in the morning w/breakfast and 1g after a hard workout. Vit C is a powerful antioxidant that helps erradicate the free radicals in your body. I use the Emergen-C foamy drink. I feel great after drinking it.
I was sick alot this winter and after I started supplementing with this stuff my ability to fend off illness improved greatly. I feel it helps me recover after a hard workout. Combined with glutamine I recover really well.

P.S.-10g is the toxic dosage and that has to be chronic abuse also.
I normally just take my 1g Ester-C per day, plus the 300mg that comes in my multi. If I start to feel like I'm gonna get a cold, I bump up to 1g Ester-C, 3x per day.
