in front of the grocery store. I was like nah I don't want it, but then I was like OK why not, but she didn't let it go when I tried to take it. She showed me a small paper which said I'm from Moldavia, I have two kids and I need your help..... She wanted me to buy the card.

Fucking bitch, she should have showed the paper first and not try to shove the card in my hand like she's giving them away for free. I hate that. I actually could have bought one, but she fucked it up.

We have asses that try to clean your car window while yout at a light and then ask you for money.....I HATE THAT....

Punch her in the nose
Steal the Xmas card

and yell "It's not Xmas yet, bitch!"

I've had a person come up to me in a restuarant of all places and hand me a paper that says "I am deaf please give money"

I told him no thanks obviously, but I also wonder how being deaf would stop a person from employment? There are tons of jobs his lazy ass could do.

weird..I was just repling to this thread with the same content.
I agree...I come to work every day with my own issues, there is no reason a deaf person cannot work.
Mind you, there is no reason the drug dealer on welfare who live across the street from me cannot work either. But in that case, the government steals my money so they can stay home all day.

we went out to buy some beer in downtown toronto.

This crackhead is begging us for money at an intersection. I feel sorry for him and give him $2. He asked for a quarter.

Then we get the beer and end up at the same intersection. The crackhead is begging us for more money, so my buddy gives him a dollar. And it seemed as if he completey forgot that we just gave him some money a while ago.

Then we go to the bakery to get some fresh bread. We come back to the same intersection, and this guy is asking us for more money. He was behaving like he didn't even know us. I told him that we already gave him money twice, but he thought we hadn't. lol. Anyways, he started screaming and yelling and calling us names and all that crap.

That pissed us off, but we didn't hurt him. But that is my worst experience with these types.

A good example of how heavy drugs will destroy your brain.
You should have bought him something to eat instead of giving him money.

Of course a deaf person can get a job, but you have to admit, it's tougher. MUCH MUCH tougher than you. One of my best friends has a hearing problem, and no kidding, until recently when he was able to afford a really good hearing aid, he lost job after job. And this was a guy with a college degree and a support system around him. Take all that away and tell me a deaf person can JUST get a job. You can't just stick a deaf person behind the counter at McDonalds, now can you? A person with no hope is not lazy.

It's much tougher but not impossible. People facing adversity function daily in jobs.
I was plagued with agoraphobia for many years and was housebound for 7 months. I could not even open a blind cause anxiety was making me so ill.
I got out of my rut and after some therapy I went and got a job. I was terrified! I had a handicap, I believe, worse that deafness! But I got off my butt and got a job. That was 20 yrs ago and I never looked back.
Any employer that would fire a deaf person should be and can be sued. Maybe your friend was not a good worker.
Serious C, there are a ton of jobs you can get where you do not need to hear. I have a 13 yr old niece in a wheelchair dying of an illness and she goes to regular high school every day w/out an excuse and with a smile. IF she can do that, then good golly miss molly, a deaf person can get a job
