Well i took two weeks off and did this, i will take another two weeks off for recovery and then go back normal. That is why i think it will work............and the juice helps.:)

Like I said, in most cases you are doing more damage than good. To chalk up Ruhl's quad development to his work-outs would be only looking at a small portion of the picture. 1. Genetics, 2. Drugs, 3. Diet and finally 4. Training.

The trick is to force adaption without breaking down tissue. I don't believe that vomitous work-outs are the way to go. I always go by the maxim "Train Smarter not Harder." I have 30 inch quads (not nearly as striated as Ruhl's), but nonetheless I have never resorted to vomiting to achieve it. I used to do legs 3 times a week at a smaller volume. By the end of the week, the volume would be the same as one of those Flex routines, but spaced out to allow actual growth rather than break down. Of course this was 8 years ago before I even knew what a steroid was.

For some strange reason I decided to do his "Triple-Whammy Quad Routine." I saw it in Flex so i said what the fuck. Here it is:

Squats 10 sets starting with 30 reps down to 3.
Leg Presses 6 sets starting from 20 down to 6 reps:

You made the mistake of believing what a routine you read in Flex unfortunately. A pro tells them what they actually do and then the author tells them to add two more exercises. Its fucked up. They want to sell magazines. Period.

I have a hard time believing that training like that actually makes you grow. Unless of course you are roided out and eating about 9000 calories a day. Most of those routines in Flex are a work of fiction anyway.
I agree. If that workout wiped you out that much it isn't a good thing. It's an ugly word around here but that's called overtraining.

I know a friend who does sets (1 or 2) os 30 rep squats with 365 with no pause and no rest between reps. It is quite amazing. I get 20 and drop to the floor gasping for air. The KEY is there is NO pause between any reps. I do not do workouts like that often. The night before such workouts, My heartrate is 100 resting from the anxiety. Of course I don't have help.. either.

My point is that if you train hard enough, there is no way you should do 10 sets. If you can walk after 3-4 sets, it means the intensity was too low.

Also, muscle growth is about constant increase in stimuls and ADAPTATION! Rhul's workout is only effective if you can build your way up there and tolerate it.

i train legs like animal. Everytime i train them i puke. Once in wile to shock them , i'll do 4 sets of 50-75 reps of 225lb on squats, then for leg press i'll do 3sets of 6-20 reps, and on 4th set i'll do 100 reps. I wanna work my way up to 100reps for squats.

Some people are so afraid of overtraining they dont even train hard enough. Like i said i took two weeks off before on my quads and im taking two off again then i will start back normal. Its not an every week thing.............bit i can gurantee i will grow a lot off that one workout alone.

damn dude, i almost puke at the end of my routine which is less than 1/2 ruhls routine. my car/gym/parking lot would be full of vomit by the 6th set of squats.

i have great respect for guys who know that today or tomorrow, and week after week they gonna go to gym train legs tilll they almost faint and puke all over the gym. Takes shit load of guts to know that and still do it. I train legs on monday. And for that two hours i get pail, i almost faint, and puke few times lol. Hey sometimes u have to go thru hell to get to heaven
