Thinking of entering a Power Lifting Competition on October 19th

yea...actually i got 265 raw a few wks b4 that and it was hard....this day i got 275 was when i put the shirt on...and the first time it wasnt as hard as i thought and he said i might couldve stayed down longer..so i did it again for good measure and paused and it wasnt as hard as i thought..think i may get a lil more. i dunno if i gained a lil on bench or if i just got 10lbs out of that shirt that easy. the shirt is a lil big in the back shoulders i think.
 
hell ya it worth it!! u maybe a powerlifter afterwords. just go in as is and do the best you can. since its on short notice, there is really nothin u can do except train. practice pausing on bench, squatting below parallel on squat using a wide stance, and use the competition grip on the bench. also, know the rules of this local meet. also train hard like you have been and take the week off prior to the meet and rest....do nothin but rest!! oh and work on locking out that deadlift(you know, lockout that back!!)on lighter weights and gauge yourself on the heavier shit. well, brotha i hope this helps...i'm behind ya 110% on this one. email me if you have any questions. thanks. tb
 
you never know for this local meets and since this would be his first time out, he'll need to know them. i always sit in on rule meeting cause you never know what's expected!!LOL. tb

ThanX alot Brute! I wont have to worry about squats, just DL and bench. Which is good for me, cuz I hardly ever squat. That helps alot bro. Good idea on resting a week before the meet. I wouldnt have. haha Im definately thinking Im going to do it. :D
