The Walking Dead **spoilers**

saw the season opener last night, not too bad...but again i found myself micro forwarding through the small talk. Way too much time filler is still going on. Maybe some good deep shit is being portrayed but last seasons endless drivel has tainted me too much. The group still irritates the shit out of me, like how they got blind sided in the prison which led to Herchel getting his leg chomped. Its like they got the right idea outside when they lured the walkers to the gate and just stabbed them easily through the chinks. Just rinse/repeat that inside instead of exposing your self to having your retreat blocked off. And with Rick having the keys to everything couldn't they have ensured nobody came up behind them? couldn't they have sealed everything off?

I agree about everything you posted once they entered the prison; Rick was thinking tactically until they went deeper into the prison. First, they should have secured the administrative section for floor plans and the location of off site resources. Then they should have restored power by securing the backup generators. Finally, they could secure the prison one section at a time with light and limited effort; Prisons are very compartmentalized to avoid the impact of riots; It has to be that way when you have 100 or more prisoners for every guard.

However, I suspend disbelief and partake of the drama.

I agree, this was a good one.

On the Talking dead they characterized Rick locking the guy in the courtyard as more cold hearted than just killing him outright; I disagree, he had a fighting chance.

Yeah, especially once he "dealt" with "tiny;" Daryl called it for Rick and it's interesting Merl will be showing up.

Yep, Merl is with the Governor...I like Daryl...interesting to see how it plays out.

they've been focuing too much on Rick and his wife and last season the asian kid, Daryl is the sleeper star of the show imho. Even when Shane was still around.

I finally saw the phalanx come out last episode, it's about time. Tough to suspend your beleif on the unlimited post apocalyptic ammo thing.
