B bishonen New member Sep 3, 2002 #1 I did dips for the first time today, and I had an awful lot of pressure in my sternum. Enough that I'm concerned! Any idea if my grip was too wide, or too shallow, or maybe my form just sucked? I have a week to sort it out!

gettinlarger New member Sep 3, 2002 #2 Were you doing them for chest or tris? If chest, were your elbows out? Chest as parallel to the ground as possible? (i.e. did you lean forward) You may just not be used to them. I dunno.

B bishonen New member Sep 3, 2002 #4 I was doing tricep dips, and this was my second-to-last excersize. And I felt the pressure during the bodyweight warmups! Now that I think about it, I think I was going mostly down, and you're supposed to go down AND forward, correct? Somebody?

L louden_swain New member Sep 3, 2002 #5 I have had the same problems in the past. My sternal area tends to act up during the winter months.
