Right on bigstve, that is one of the ways to go to keep increasing the weight. And then when you stall on that, you can go back to the weight you had trouble doing w/ the 5x5 and you should be able to handle that now.

Well I got the 225 for 5x5 last night it was harder but they all went up pretty fast. I was pretty surprised I thought I'd wear out on the last set but I didn't. Now I'm nervous for 230 next week. I do plan to go with 5x3 when I fail at 5x5. So whether it comes next week at the 230 or the following week at 235 I'll start the next week workout with another five pounds but do it at 5x3 is that right? I used to be able to do 225 for like 8 reps at my best and then the next two or three sets would be progressively worse, so it's not all that new to me to lift the weight but the way it feels and the power I have now versus then is much different. When I do the 230 next week then I'll be able to tell better how much it has helped.

let us know how it goes cobra...last night i did chest also...incline BB i nailed 5X5 w/ 210lbs, struggled on the last set but got it. Im a little anxious about 215...well see what next has in store
