Should washboard abs be worked on every day or every other day?

But you still have to work the abs for them to show after you diet down.

You will have a tough time building muscle of any kind when calroie deprived.

I work mine twice per week just normally, when dieting for contest or to low bodyfats, I up that normally to 3 times per week.

I have a decent 6-pack, and I do a "stone age" routine 7 days/week. 150 standard crunches, 100 oblique raises each side. The reason is I don't want size in my abs; just flat and no fat to hide them. If I were trying to get them big, I'd go with weighted vertical crunches, and other more aggressive building techniques. I do an aggressive ab workout maybe once a week, just to get some burning going. It works great for me. I don't like the look of big abs on myself, as it just looks like a gut with a shirt on.

Sorry to bump an antique thread, but it's a good one.

Yeah, my stomach got much bigger after I trained with heavy weights, but I can't see them yet untill my next cutting cycle.
