I don't know if there's anything special to them... it's something I'd probably ask Nathan about for the details.

Astro would be a fantastic career, but there are so few observatories/jobs/funding out there that it seems a better hobby than occupation. I'd love to get a chance to play with a large telescope, though.

WTF, we know what quants are.

The markets will be fine tomorrow, and depending on the agreements reached, might very well rally this week given the oversold markets of the past 3-6 weeks.

Default possiblities have already been priced in. The US is not going to default on its debt any moar than it's going to launch a nuclear missle at Iraq.

Futures are up almost 200 points, and asian markets are up over a percent across the board. It looks like an agreement's already been reached. Prepare for a week-long rally.
