Quick Question....

I pushed myself really hard last night but I've also behaved myself and eaten multiple clean meals since my workout. This morning I've eaten once and am about to again-- but I'm REALLY light-headed and nauseated this morning. Is that just because my body is in crappy condition right now or is that a hint to eat more?? Advise would be appreciated as I feel really dizzy.

Hey Kate,

Are you getting enough sleep? Are you drinking enough water?

Did you maybe take a multivitamin or EC stack on an empty stomach? That makes me SOO sick to my stomach.

How about other factors for nasuea? Birth control pills? Anxiety? If I'm all stressed out I'm also way sick to my stomach.

Keep track of what you eat on fitday.com & that way you'll be sure you are getting enough of everything.
 
Just a thought - if you have cleaned up your eating habits recently your body may be dumping toxins (e.g. similar to if you've ever done a "detox" diet) - since this stuff is floating sort of free in your system until it gets excreted, you can feel like crap - headaches, rundown, etc.

You might consider throwing in some good anti-oxidants to help clear out the crap -- e.g. green tea extract, CoQ-10, alpha lipoic acid & also melatonin (at night).

Would drinking green tea be good too? I love the stuff! Keeps me warm in my cold office :cold: & keeps my mouth busy so I don't dip into the bowl of M&M's by my desk!

I'm not sure how long you've been eating clean, but my body did a full-on revolt for the first week or two as I was eliminating crap.

I had all of the same symptoms you desribe..or you simply may not be getting enough carbs, I made that mistake when I first started....

Just a couple of ideas for ya..

Thanks. This makes sense....especially the detox part as I've done detoxes with my dr. before and they make me feel like crap.

I can't sleep. Not at all. I usually crash for at least 8 hours a night but haven't slept more than 4-5 for the last few nights. I'd almost expect to sleep like a baby when I'm so worn out, but I feel like little miss productivity instead...not that I actually clean or anything...but I've discovered that my honey gets pissy when I wake him up typing at 1 am. Hehe.

Thanks for the suggestions. I am now and always have drank vast amounts of water. I'm not on the pill right now, nor am I pregnant. I haven't had a multi yet this morning or any EC stack (though I almost always take those on an empty tummy...likely because my tummy's been empty for the last few years).

I cannot express how much I appreciate such wonderful information. Ya'll are little angels.

yea kate....just give it a week or so of solid good eating and vitamins and ur body will adjust. try some melatonin (sp) before bed to help u sleep. maybe it will help.........

im glad ur not taking an eca stack right now.......lay of that for a while too.....u dont need it now....:)
 
Sitting here right now finishing off a whey protein shake....can't say it's better than a snickers but I'm not gonna bitch.

Turned down the trip to the bar after work to opt for cardio instead and also turned down ice cream. Doing my best. It'll get easier as I get more used to it (or am I just being hopeful).

lol... awww yes it will get easier i promise!! after a while u wont really want all that junk anymore.....well every once in a while u will but not all the time. u will learn to want to feed ur body good food all the time. make sure u give urself a "cheat day" where u eat 1 or 2 meals of whatever u want!! this will help u stay focused and will actually be good for ur bod!
