Q for Spatts

Spatterson - I printed off the advice you gave tsut in her first thread. I am sitting here before bed trying to plan my food for the week and thought I may try your carb rotation plan.

One question for you. I think I understood it right that if I am supposed to have .5g of carbs per kg of body weight on low days - so that would make my calculation look like this:

115 pounds/ 2.2046 = 52.16 kg body weight
52.16 kg x .5 g carbs = 26 carbs.

Is that right? I have got to be doing something wrong, no?? Maybe I am just tired and can't do math tonight  or maybe I have to start cutting a lot of carbs out.

That would also leave high carb days as this:

52.16 kg body weight x 2.0 g = 104 carbs

Am I missin something? Or should I really try to get that low in carbs for a cutting cycle? Again, I know I am sending you mixed messages these days cuz I am trying to lose BF and gain muscle at the same time. Maybe that isn't too realistic and I need to pick one goal. What do you think?

Thanks - I'll try working with about 50-60 low and 150-160 high for awhile. It will still be a stretch for me becuase for the past three weeks I have been taking in about 190 g carbs every day! wow.

I really don't want to lose weight - I just want to replace the fat weight that I have with muscle. So I guess I'll start with cutting carbs with the carb rotation for the next few weeks, then slowly increase my calorie intake and keep the same c/p/f ratios. Do you think that sounds logical?
