We get qs from guys asking about girls - I'm asking the opposite - I know this is the women's board but I got no joy on diet. My guy friend who got me started on lifting is in need of diet advice. He has previously lived on sugar alone basically, now he has decided to cut & is eating 1200 calories a day. Obviously this is crazy - he is 175 and short - but what do y'all think is a decent range? I tried to tell him 12*bw, which would be 2100, but e got all like 'I've never eaten that much, I'll be a big balloon!' Any suggestions on how to deal with the male rexies? I am kind of surprised by his weird diet ideas, he lifts four days a week and is concerned about upping his squat & bench numbers, but still seems to think no harm will be done by eating 1200 calories a day for a month or two.
