protien shake before bed?

I have noticed that eating before bed prevents you from getting cut. I only eat before bed if i plan on doing morning cardio or if i havent eaten for a very long time. Best thing is 5-10 grams of glutamine, it will boost your GH which will prevent catabolism.
100% disagree.....

Im not saying that you shouldnt eat. It personally doesnt work for ME when trying to get lean. Downing huge protein shakes before bed is deffinatly not what i would reccomend.

I take a casein protein about 30 min before bed and I take it with skim milk to even slow the digestion down a little slower. Like what I have gained with this protein. The protein that I currently take at night is made by ISS Research and is called Mecular Matrix. I also take Pro Complex made by Optimum Nutrition throught the day.

I take in 35grams of Micellar Casein with 5grams of Bovine Serum and 5 grams of Glutamine Peptides and 5 grams of good ol' Flax. Mix that son of a bitch in a blender and drink up. YUM YUM!!! I love that shake. I sleep feeling full and nice. I wake up being actually a little bit more with a pumped up look.

I have a question, I read that it actually takes 3 months for your intestines and stomach to breakdown meat. I do the same as many on here and drink and a protein shake and take fiber to slow the breakdown process.

So my question is since it takes sooo long to break down these meats how can you fully take advantage of the nutrients, and get them immediatly? I would think that taking some sort of shake would be better after a work out and hitting the sack since you can get nutrients immediatley(kind of like a pill works I guess)? Any thoughts here...

BTW...Micellar is slow digesting protein. But how slow? Is it like eating chicken or beef? Does the body digest it that slow?
