pregnancy tests...

Hey ladies...I'm a usual poster over on the anabolic board...I just need a little bit of help from you guys.

My girlfriend is worried she might be pregnant. Do any of you know how quickly a positive will show up on those pregnancy tests? She thinks it's 13 days (she's worried about an incident 7 days ago), but I'm just wondering if there is a new one out there that can detect it faster? Any help would be appreciated.

Also, are there any telltale signs that she may be pregnant? Recently she said she's been peeing alot, sore down there, and I've noticed she tastes ALOT different down there...alot stronger.

So if any of you have any info, it would be greatly appreciated...

Thanks!
Bulldog:)

Bulldog go read the sides of the boxes in the grocery store. They tell you exactly how soon the test works. I think there are a couple that work within a week... but you are better off checking the labels.

Maybe I'll just go sprinkle some RU-486 on her breakfast...moron.

Most of them (e.p.t., fact plus, etc) work within a week of a missed period. Again, it should say on the box.

This site has a wealth of info about pregnancy symptoms: http://epigee.org/pregnancyhelp/index.html

Has she ever had a yeast infection? Based on your saying that she's sore, and tastes different, it could just be that. One of my good girlfriends recently had one for the first time, and it delayed her period for 2 weeks (!).

That's good to know...I woouldn't want her freaking out about her period being late, just to find out that it's a yeast infection. I'll ask her about it.

Thanks Ceebs, you too spatts...

My menstual cycles tend to run longer than the normal 28 days, especially when I was younger (up to like 56 days). I cannot tell you how many pregnancy tests I have taken and my period started the next day. Just simply taking a home pregnancy test has worked for me sooo many times! (It's almost like the relief of not being pregnant just lets my body relax and let go)

Just go get a test at the store for $12 or so and you can find out within a few minutes. Hopefully things will turn out for the best. EPT, which is one of the brands, actually stand for Early Pregnancy Test and can test quite early.

Best wishes whether she is pregnant or not!

Sounds like a UTI (urinary tract infection). The tase thing sounds like a yeast infection. Both UTIs and Yeast infections have distinct symptoms. Do a search on the internet and see if they match her symptoms.
