im trying to lose bf and weight,my nutrtion and training is on point, but do i need to use a post workout shake?or do u only have them if your bulking not dieting?if i do need one, could anyone recommend one you can buy on the net,or do u make your own with protein powders e.c.t

thanks

whichever your goals may be, cutting.. bulking or maintenance, it is always recommended to take a post workout shake. I think that any meal replacement shake with good level of protein could help... and don't forget to rehydrate yourself post workout too!

This is a excellent post work out shake:

Here are the ingredients for creating your shake according to your
bodyweight (lean body mass):
16 oz. Grape Juice
0.25 grams of protein per pound of body mass
0.8 grams of carbohydrate per pound of body mass
0.05 grams of creatine for every pound of body mass.
0.1 gram of glutamine per pound of bodyweight

Normally you would use HGI carbs pre/postworkout. combined with EAAs or BCAAs.

While cutting you may choose to leave the carbs out. But you will want to take EAAs or BCAAs 10 min. pre workout.
If you cannot afford these you can choose to take 0,4 g/kg whey 1/2 h pre workout. So that your muscle will not be used as fuel while exercising.

the last thing I would mess with during cutting is my pw shake.....trust me on this......reduce cals and carbs somewhere else if you want, switch to p/f meals, but for GOD's sake, leave the carbs and whey in you pw shake.........

i agree, leave the carbs and protein in the post workout shake. But cut the carbs down to 0.25 gr/lb body wt when cutting and use 0.5 gr/lb to gain size.
