Post workout: Honey

Freddy Lee

New member
my shake will contain

whey
water
1/2 cup strawberries
honey

the question is how much honey should i take, how many tablespoons to fulfill carb requirements in conjuction with the strawberries? i know that dextrose is superior but i want to go with natural products and honey looks like the next best thing.

Ummm, dextrose is natural corn sugar, I don't see the problem?

You want the best for your body result wise, right???

its a concentrated product. i want to go non processed. i believe honey is the next best thing? if so. can you answer my question, thanks.

Honey is the exact opposite of dextrose. It is nearly all fructose and does little for Mucle glycogen, rather it stores glycogen in the liver.

what is natural that is next level down from dextrose in performance? honey correct. which is what i want. how much should i take?

Are you reading the posts. Honey will do nothing for your muscles that dextrose will. They have nothing in common. I would go with a bannana instead of the honey. Grapejuice is also high on the GI scale.

dextrose + malto
