Possible pec/muscle problem???

I'm not sure whether I did something serious to myself or not, but my chest hurts. On my right side, in between my shoulder & my breast, the muscle there hurts & when I first wake up is stiff & very sore. When reaching my shoulder now pops & cracks, which it never did before. When I move my arm around a certain way, it "twinges." My traps don't hurt, nor do my delts or my back in any way.

I first noticed this after a bout with shrugs several weeks ago so I haven't done them. However I did them again last Sunday & now I'm still sore.

Has anyone else experienced this and is it just a muscle pull where I should just RICE it? I'm scared to do any weights cuz I don't want to tear anything.

A similar thing happened to me fairly recently whilst performing incline press. I just layed off the heavy pressing movements for about three weeks and I was right as rain.

Did you lift at all & just with light weight? Did you use any ice at all?

I'm reluctant to see my doc cuz she is pretty worthless & all the BS I have to go thru to find a sports doc is a PITA!!
 
I lifted, but with a bit less frequency/intensity. I didn't use and ice or anything, and it just seemed to go away. Remember though that I am not a doctor/physio so don't take my word as gospel.....although I may be able to diagnose you better if you pm'ed me more pics of the ares <wink wink>
 
Well, it couldn't be the fatty cuz I don't know what you look like.

It was LOL cuz I thought your comment was funny. As in "I'm not a doctor but I slept at a Holday Inn express last nite so if you take off your clothes I'll look at it" kind of funny type way.

Clear as mud......
