O.K. guys I need help bad. I am graduating from college in one month, and I want to look the best I ever have. I need some help on keeping with a CKD while trying to go to class (19 credits) and go to work and workout/cardio without feeling like shit. I need as many options as possible as to what to eat, because as soon as I get frustrated I fucking quit (I know that sounds dumb, but I have sooooo much other shit to worry about I just can't handle trying to worry about what to eat.) So what should I do to guarantee the most success and be able to stick with it. And also is drinking alcohol completely out of the question, because damn after a long week I sometimes need to relax and drink a bit. I need to lose about 20lbs in a month, so any help would be GREATLY APPRECIATED.

I am in a similar situation. Graduating Early/mid May and doing a CKD now. A few hints that are helping me...

I wouldn't worry too much about missing a meal or going a bit long without eating here and there b/c of class or other engagements. Just focus on staying in ketosis and meeting your caloric needs, efa's and protein, eating as cleanly as you can.

To simplify everything, you could carb up more infrequently initially. I am going 2 weeks to my first carb up and it makes life really easy and worry free for me. One day isn't very much different than the next and I don't have to worry about planning workouts around carb up right now. Weight training w/o glycogen stores is a pain in the ass but you just have to work through it and not panic if your strength drops some at first. Carb up and it will come back.

Another thing, around finals time, you should play your cards right. If in ketosis already and you are sharp mentally, just stay in ketosis for that short timeframe. Carb-ups can leave you lethargic and could interfere with your exam performance. Maybe plan one a week before exams and then get back into keto pretty quick.

As far as your actual food choices, post your typical keto day and we can give some backup suggestions to add to it.

Not to sound stupid, but what exactly does that mean?

Sorry, should have worded that better. I meant to say...

When you are in the ketogenic phase of your CKD diet (id est, not carbing up), post a sample day's diet, so that we can get a feel for what you are currently using or plan to use and can suggest viable alternatives to give you more variety. I was just trying to make a segue into answering that part of your question conerning 'needing as many options as possible as to what to eat.'

I am eating mostly chicken and steak. Tuna and other fish, but damn what the hell can I eat for snacks, it seems like EVERYTHING has too many carbs, it sucks.

I eat salads, pickles, cucumbers, low carbs and as far as I can tell it never interfered with ketosis, as per the keto strips.
