Newbie here needs guidance

i would eliminate some of these foods you are eating which will go a long way. yes you are young and when i was young i ate crappy but once i got a little older it caught up to me.

lucky charms for example.. has no nutrition and does nothing to make you healthy. why not swap in some oatmeal instead or better yet some cage free eggs for breakfast.

lunch you have a quesa at work. why not swap in a baked chicken salad instead? these are little things you can do that will go a long way. . drink a lot of water. stay away from alcohol and you will be very pleased with your progress. try to avoid restaurant food, its a killer.

if you are gonna have really 3 jobs like that you are gonna be much happier and have more energy eating healthier at the very least. so it will pay off. you won't feel so blah after meals and heavy

Supplements I once got a complimentary bottle of VenEvol, it was awesome, steady clean energy and just one capsule a day. Also tried Dren which was way more effective but A. Thermogenesis was serious stuff, i felt like I had hot flashes lol and B. The energy was great buy I felt too wired and jittery.

Sent from my HTC One V using EliteFitness

I like the idea of supplements. We started taking ours yesterday. I went to work (at the restaurant) and felt pretty energized. Then took a caffine pill and a protein shake before we went to the gym.

At the gym, my 1st work out was deadlifts. After doing 3sets of 75lb 8x, I felt so sick! IDK if was because I lifted heavy or if It was the caffine and protein shake? After taking a breather outside for a few, I felt better. But it was a really weird feeling.

IDK if you saw read the supps I'm taking but they are: A Multivitamin, Green Tea Exctract, Hydroxycut Elite, Fish Oil, and Cafifine.

Lose the attitude, fish oil and protein is considered a supp so in a way you are wrong and no need to get so defensive. No one is telling here to get on anavar... Protein should be taking even if you are not working out as fish oil and a multivitamin all will help her loose weight and help her reach her goals

Thank you! :D

This helps me know that I am on the right track with what I am taking now.

Hydroxycut and a caffeine pull will probably increase your heart rate and bp along with dead lifts your heart was probably racing, my advice would be, drop the caffeine pill to only when you need it, and up your water to a gallon or close. All this will help you out not to mention if you haven't done dead lifts in a long time it could of just been a head rush because your body wasn't expecting it. Either way your on the right track and 75# for a dead lift is awesome for a female

just to clarify the hydroxycut pill was taken at 10am, caffeine pill was taken at about 4, so it was pretty spread apart. Plus she had the protein shake literally on the way to the gym, and our first exercise was deadlifts, so i think it was a combination of all those. The hydroxycut dose when we reach day 7 is about 3 caffeine pills worth lol

i agree water needs to be close to about a gallon a day, probably 1.5 gllons for me since im a guy. do you guys carry water bottles with you and refill them throughout the day or do you find it easier to carry a gallon jug with you and finish it by the end of the day?

steve idk if she read your post since it was on a new page but she will see it today after work i bet. I will say today she had some special K protein cereal which is a good start

Personally I carry a gallon with me but I have friends that carry a bpa free refillable water jug and refill it thew out the day, if it was her first experience with deads then like u said it was the deads lol Special K is a good start and another step would be is replace the milk with almond milk

so is that bpa refillable water jug able to let you put tap water in it and have it be like bottled water? or is it just that the plastic in your bottle isnt going to contaminate the water? and ill tell her about almond milk, idk if she has ever tried it so she might like that.

yea it was definitely the deads lol, honestly 75lbs was pretty heavy for her, we took a video of it and the only thing wrong with her form imo was when she let the bar down she would keep bending her knees, but then the bar would have to go in front of her shoulders. So I told her to start bending at the hips that way the bar stays in a straight path and her arms stay straight up and down. But besides that she was killin it and it was crazy how much of a difference it was going from 65lbs to 75 lbs.

ok im gonna let her reply to all these ill butt out lol

The bpa free means it won't contaminate the water after a few uses as if you keep refilling a water bottle it will start to get that weird taste, blender bottles are bpa for that reason your suppose to re use them, any store will carry bpa free bottles Walmart or publix for sure. You can buy some bpa free water bottles with a filter in them and you could pour tap water into them and it will filter it for you. The almond milk IMO is really good get unsweetened and it tastes like milk and the vanilla almond milk is just really good in general lol

I don't eat lucky charms everyday for breakfast. Maybe 1 time a week. lol 90% of the week I make scrambled eggs, wheat toast, sausage and maybe some bacon.

I will start eating better at the restaurant for sure. I heard the dressing w/ salads are kind of bad. So is ranch dressing w/ a salad not ok? I will really focus on the water. I hate the water at my work :/ So I need to bring water bottles from home then. We don't drink alcohol but MAYBE 1x a month. Gosh if that. lol No time.

I'm definitely motivated to eat better! I just have to be open minded to new things.

I do find myself while at work, not eating at all until I get home. So I will eat eggs, toast, and sausage at 11ish. and then not eat until I get home around 5. I just get so busy at work, I don't think to order food or heat up anything if I was to bring food from home. I know I should work on that too!

As Glad said, I took the 2 supps at different parts of the day. I definitely need to drink more water! I'll admit that. Ya, after even my 2nd out of 4 sets, I was light headed and felt nauseas. We had to go outside a couple times. Thought about quitting for the day, but the deads were my first exercise so I wasnt about to puss out on my whole workout :)

Thank you! I started at 65lbs 1st set then did 75lbs the last 3 sets. Then I did curls, lat pulls, and rows. I pushed through the yucky feeling and completed my workout. Glad was extremely motivating and helpful through my whole workout. Which helped w/ me wanting to complete my day!
