:newbie: Im a new member. My boyfriend has been on EF for a while and suggested I join. Im happy to be a part of the community. I plan on being an active member and learning a lot from you girls. Last year I weighed in at 178lbs and I am 5ft4 tall. I decided to start working out and I have managed to lose 50lbs. I am trying to be serious about my diet and working out, and I have recently developed a new found love for women's fitness body building. I need a "mom"...someone to guide me and help me. I am a 3rd year college student and a body nutrition;Dietetics major.I am very willing and determined to reach this goal but as of right now I dont know where to start. I understand the whole "strict diet" concept and am more than prepared for that. I need more help on the working out part of it. I guess I just don't know where to start.I am a very curvy woman and I gain muscle mass easily. Please help me out and give me the advice I so desperately need. I look forward to becoming friends with people who are dedicated to this life style....something I plan on doing my self as well.

P.S. I plan on doing a contest here at college in a year from now, Hopefully with everyone's help I can achieve this goal I have set for my self. :newbie:

Hi Ares! Welcome to the boards and HYUGE PROPS on your weight loss so far. And also on pursuing it in your colllege education! That's awesome!

The best thing you can do to get this whole thing started is please read the stickies at the top of this board. Specifically start w/ the "Are you new to EF Ladies board? START HERE!" and the other stickies - they are up there for easy reading. That will give you all the stuff you are going to get asked anyway for us to further get to know you & help you !

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR RESPONDING RIGHT AWAY!!! It boosts my confidence in the web site and you girls as well!!!I appreciate it and Im looking forward to becoming friends.

Ok...so ive just spent hours looking around the website....I am still full of questions but not even close to as many as I had before. Let me just say that you women kick ass...I find a lot of inspirational stuff here!! I find it hard to sleep lately because I cant stop thinking about what I need to do and how. I dont want to put my stats on here just yet(they are sad!!!). HOwever, I am leaving college to go home in 3 weeks. For the 3 weeks that I am here I want to just do intense cardio to get back in shape.(6 days a week-2hrs a day). I got sick a month ago and I stopped working out after I got better.I also started eating all the good stuff im not supposed to!! Before that, I was in the gym 5-6 days a week, 2hrs a day. All my hard work just went down the toilet (although my legs are still killer and my biceps are still there!!)
Is this 3 week hard cardio training a good idea right now?? I plan on getting really serious once I get home. Im thinking about 6 days a week, cardio every other day and abs, the other 3 days I want to alternate upper, and lower body. Havent figured out a FULL workout yet but im trying. I should post it pretty soon and hopefully it will all work out. Im also thinking about glutamine and creatine but I am SCARED of putting anything in my body other than my daily vitamin and calcium!!! Any suggestions?
