I was just wondering what kind of shoulders exercises you guys have used as you compound movement. I have been doing front military press for a while now and I was just getting kind of bored with it, even though I am not stalling out or anything. I also don't really want to behind the neck press because of shoulder issues and I find that it is pretty hard to increase weight on a regular basis. Does anyone have any other ideas or should I just stick with the military?

I do 2 sets of dumbbell shoulder press, then 2 sets of barbell shoulder press. Then maybe a set or 2 of side raises. Been working great, I'm up to the 90lb dbs now. :)

I've used dumbells but dont like the fact that the weekly increases have to be at least 10lbs(5 per side), plus once I go up to the 110lb'ers they became more trouble then they were worth. because of a rotator cuff problem, I've been using the hammer strength machine, but following the progressive resistance priciple, and my shoulders are still growing

i do standing military presses which i found better than sitting for me, but you can always switch to db's

anyone know a link to vid on clean & press?

I know it gets kinda routine, but if your still able to add 5lbs a week, why not stick with the millitary press? Im kinda in the same boat with the 5X5, but im still adding weight, so im gonna keep with millitary presses

for 5x5 on delts the best exercise I have found is one armed side raises.

I do 2 sets of Arnold's then 5x5 on the side raises... then 2 sets of rear delts... and that is it for delts.

first day i do my shoulders on the 5x5 will be thursday. ill be doing overhead db press 5x5, front db raises 2x10, and side db raises 2x10
