Need Some Words of Encouragement

Ok guys,
I started cutting a month ago at 275. I weighed in last thursday at 250. I had a big weekened of skiing and EATING, oh god and DRINKING and zero cardio with a good good friend i see only a couple times a year. Today's cardio weigh in was 254 :(:(:(. My goal is 235-240(depending on the mirror). I ate poorly again tonite at my family dinner and have nobody to blame but myself. I was at school from 10-6 with an exam, and I have a 2000word essay due at 9am tommorow and a final exam at 330 with classes from 9-630. I have no time for the gym (lifting) tonite or cardio or lifting tomorrow at all. (afterschool perhaps an evening jog with the girlfrined if i can lift my eyeballs). My diet and cardio was going so well and I just need to make Wed my smack my face in gear date again. I have 5 weeks left on my cycle to drop the 15-20lbs. I am just sitting here feeling like crap. Thats my rant, just needed to vent!

OH GOD AND ON TOP OF EVERYTHING ELSE I GET AN EMAIL GIVING THE CLASS AN ACCOUNTING EXTENTION FOR 3 DAYS WHEN I HAD IT DONE FOR THIS MORNING!!!! grrrrrrrrrrrrrr. :worried: :worried: :worried:

Trust me you can do it i came down from 380 to 217 I was fat all my life if I can do it trust me so can you! All you need to lose is 15-20 pounds just keep the exercising up and watch what you eat. Good luck and god bless!

Thanks brotha, i was an ex fat boy too (325-225 in grade 12). I know i can do it, just so stressed with school and the 4lb weekend and just feeling like a bloated fat ass.

Bro, I drank on 2 nights, ate McDonalds (havn't done that in months), probably polished off the whole jar of ANPB, Lasanga (2nights), dip, wine and cheese, oh on the ski hill they had the "fully loaded waffle breakfast", yes pizza the night i was drunk. It was a miserable cutting diet nightmare. Today ENDS it though. I'm not letting myself loose 21lbs, see all 6abs (in the am) go to hell, no sir, 20 more lbs and i'll be at my target weight and body type and goal. I just really want to do it in the next 6 weeks before i go pct. But i'm prepared, i'm doing igf in my pct and clen so hopefully with a clean watched diet i keep the post cycle fat rebound off.

Dr_skier - based on your weekend of "slacking" (for want of a better term) or being off your plan - it might just be some temporary water gain....especially if you've been eating well for some time.....If you can't find the time to do the cardio - for now, just stick with eating well and give it a few days for the water to drop....

Hang in there!! You can do it!

Thanks jencats, today is a new day, my report is done, 2500 words as of 330am last night. My diet is back on track as of right now. The gym may have to wait until tomorrow, but that will start a 10day stretch, i think for the first 5 cardio will be upped two twice a day by throwing in a 20min session after lifting ontop of AM stuff. I thought some of it might be water cause i was just looking super bloated, not to mention i left my arimidex at home while skiing for 2 days. I just didn't want to let my self use the bloated excuse to make up for poor willpower on my behalf. Thanks for the uplift!

In your original post you said you were doing no cardio, but man do i feel tired as hell after a full day of snowboarding. It's probably my favoirte cardio to tell you the truth. Although you ate more, if you were skiing all day, you burned a lot of cals. I have to eat like an extra 1000 cals if i'm snowboarding all day, just to not feel like crap. I think if you put on 4 lbs without your arimidex, then there's your water weight. Especially at your size, you can put on water weight like it's nothing, not to mention glycogen. Even at my weight I'll lose almost a pound throughout the course of 1 workout, just from glycogen and water stores. see what the scale says in a week after gettin back on track.

Actually, I concur............until I tore my ACL skiing on Feb 1st - I wore my HR monitor while skiing and burned anywhere from 500-1000+ cals on a ski day.......so even with a so-so diet & some beers - I lost some bodyfat.....

what's your cycle?

also the absolute worst thing you can do is plan for when to get back in the gym or plan for when to get your diet on track. To get back on track you need to forget the words "next, tomorrow, in x days/months/years". The only word you should use when talking about when to begin or start back up is NOW
Now is the key word. Goals about starting are COMPLETELY WORTHLESS.

1) Make diet and exercise a priority over ALL ELSE (within reason) you had a paper due so that takes a much higher immediate priority, however rather than watching TV for 30 minutes after you finish it, why not go out for a jog/walk?

2) Say to yourself "I am eating properly. I am not 'on a diet', but I am eating slightly fewer calories than what I would normally eat by decreasing how much I eat and not changing what I eat because I already eat well. This is NOT a diet, but a lifestyle that I am committed to. Part of this lifestyle is frequently working out at a gym. I like to workout, I like to eat healthy, and I like the results I am seeing. This last weekend, I went on a leisure diet while I had some fun. I had my fun, but not it is back to being responsible and eating normally."

Say this to yourself (or some form of it) over and over.

How's that for some motivation/encouragement?... :-)
